About the Role Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic, dedicated Consultant Obstetrician with a special interest in maternal medicine to join the expanding Women’s Health team at Newham University Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward‑thinking, patient‑centred service within one of the UK’s most diverse communities. Responsibilities Provide high‑quality care in both general obstetrics and maternal medicine, including high‑risk pregnancies, pre‑existing medical conditions and complex pregnancies. Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical pathways, policies and procedures related to maternal medicine and obstetrics. Participate in teaching, mentoring and support junior doctors and medical students. Lead on research initiatives in maternal medicine and obstetrics, fostering an environment of continuous improvement. Work across sites while maintaining acceptable working conditions; support staff, patients and families during stressful or emotional situations. Standard keyboard skills required. May be required to lift, push and pull objects using trolleys in accordance with Trust moving and handling regulations. May be required to travel between three Trust sites.
