Here's your chance to be at the heart of it all.We are open to speaking with ideally Principal/Senior or Experienced Overhead Line Design Engineers in relation to exploring future opportunities in line with our growth strategy to join our Transmission & Distribution team, with roles to be to based in any of our UK offices.As an Overhead Design Line Engineer within our team you be involved in the delivery of a wide range OHL projects – producing and reviewing technical documents in line with industry standards. It is a varied role that will see you involved in the development of design criteria, conductor selection, structure type selection, insulation coordination and lightning performance.You will be involved in the development of typical OHL design deliverables – including line schedules, plan/profile drawings, staking tables and special crossings design. You will c onduct feasibility studies to assess the technical and economic viability of proposed projects and coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., civil, structural) to ensure the overall integrity of the project.Its a Great Time To Join The Energy Team At Stantec As We Enter An Important Phase Of Growth. More Information On Stantec’s Energy & Resources Division Can Be Found At The Below LinkStantec Energy Transition - UKAbout YouYou will ideally have a d egree in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural or Civil Engineering or industry experience if coming from a hands-on/construction pathway. CEng, IEng registration or working towards registration would be beneficial.You will have experience as either an Overhead Line Design Engineer or similar role working on various Transmission and Distribution projects. Preferably you would have worked for either a Design Consultant, Design/Build Contractor, or an Asset Owner in your experience to date. You will have experience in using PLS-CADD to carry out both new OHL designs and modifications to existing designs. You will have experience of working with projects requiring UK design requirements.For this role it would be beneficial if you bring a strong understanding of complimentary T&D disciplines to OHL Design – for example an understanding/experience of HV Plant design or HV Cable design or T&D Civil design.
