Overview Baxterstorey is seeking a friendly and customer-focused Barista to join our team in Woking United Kingdom. As a Barista you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee beverages and providing an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks including espresso-based beverages using high-quality ingredients and proper techniques Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders and other brewing equipment Provide friendly and efficient customer service greeting customers and taking orders with a smile Handle cash transactions accurately and operate point-of-sale systems Educate customers about our coffee products including bean origins and flavor profiles Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed Create visually appealing latte art to enhance the customer experience Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours Qualifications Proven experience in coffee preparation techniques and ability to craft high-quality espresso-based beverages Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills and accuracy in cash handling Knowledge of different coffee beans roasts and brewing methods preferred Food safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a clean work environment High school diploma or equivalent Previous barista experience preferred but not required Food handling certification is a plus Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Additional Information For almost 20 years for every client in every location (whether that’s an office stadium cathedral or university) we have created beautiful spaces exciting menus and friendly teams so that each and every customer can have the hospitality experience they deserve.
