Engineering Manager - Data Centre Location: Croydon Salary: £79,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + 3‑4% Bonus + Overtime + Pension + 25 Days Holiday We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the operational delivery of a business‑critical data centre environment. You'll manage a team of engineers, subcontractors, and maintenance activities to ensure uptime, safety, and compliance across the site. This role is Monday‑Friday and includes overtime at this level, which is rare in the market. Key Responsibilities Lead, schedule, and support a team of 10 engineers across planned and reactive tasks. Review and approve RAMS, permits, work packs, and switching schedules. Manage subcontractor performance and ensure statutory compliance. Maintain accurate documentation (CMMS, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Logbooks, iAuditor). Oversee shift cover, annual leave scheduling, PDPs, and performance reviews. Control critical spares, asset registers, and maintenance records. Attend weekly client reviews and internal operational meetings. What You'll Bring Experience leading engineering teams in data centre or critical facilities. Strong understanding of electrical & mechanical building services systems. Confident with RAMS, permits, CMMS, incident response, and compliance documentation. Ability to prioritise workload in a fast‑paced environment and maintain high standards.
