About UsContract Scotland is working with a leading provider of logistics, construction, and civil engineering solutions in Central Scotland. With a proud heritage and a reputation for delivering quality projects safely, on time, and within budget, we are now looking to expand to their Construction Division with the addition of a talented Quantity Surveyor based in the Glasgow office.The RoleAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of a variety of infrastructure and construction projects. You will be involved from tender stage through to final account, ensuring maximum value is delivered while managing costs and risks.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, submit, and manage interim and final valuationsMonitor and control project budgets and costsPrepare and negotiate subcontractor packagesEvaluate and manage variations, claims, and change control processesLiaise with project teams, clients, and supply chain partnersEnsure compliance with contractual and legal requirementsProduce accurate reporting and forecastingRequirementsDegree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar construction disciplineProven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally on groundworks packagesStrong commercial acumen with good negotiation and analytical skillsFamiliarity with NEC and other standard forms of contractExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsFull UK driving licenceWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageCareer progression opportunities within a well-established, family-owned businessSupportive and collaborative team environmentOngoing professional developmentLegal InformationWe act as an employment agency for permanent work and as an employment business for temporary work.For roles in the UK, applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.We value diversity and promote equality.
