Our client, a fast-growing boutique asset manager, is looking for a credit analyst to join the investment team.The successful candidate will undertake credit research specifically focusing on financial institutions but with the opportunity to cover other sectors.Key responsibilities:Conduct detailed fundamental research to generate investment ideasEvaluate a variety of new issuers for inclusion in the investment universeIncorporate ESG/sustainability analysis into investment decisionsContinuous monitoring of credits under coverage including analysis of quarterly results or any relevant news flowCommunicate any material changes in credit profile to Portfolio ManagersLiaise with issuers, sell side analysts, rating agencies and attend industry conferences to discuss industry trendsRequirements:Minimum 4 years’ credit research experience on the buy-side, sell-side or at a ratings agencyPrevious experience analysing financial institutionsRelative value experience would be an advantageUnderstanding of how ESG factors impact upon credit analysisStrong academic background, first or upper-second class degreeCFA qualification or equivalentMason Blake acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
