Associate – Commercial Disputes (3+ PQE) – DiverseJobsMatter Location: Hybrid – Manchester (UK) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Sector: Legal | Commercial Litigation | Dispute Resolution Overview Our client is expanding its Commercial Disputes practice in Manchester and is seeking an Associate (3+ PQE) to join a highly regarded litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded disputes lawyer to work on high-value, complex matters alongside UK and international partners, within a collaborative and ambitious professional services environment. The role offers strong exposure to varied and challenging work, clear progression pathways, and the opportunity to contribute to both client development and the continued growth of the team. Responsibilities Manage a diverse caseload covering a broad range of commercial disputes Advise on complex, high-value litigation matters with a practical and commercial focus Gain exposure to specialist dispute areas including fraud, finance, intellectual property, IT, and competition Support cross-border and multi-jurisdictional disputes Collaborate with colleagues across offices and practice areas to deliver strategic solutions Provide support on major transactions and business-critical issues Contribute to business development, marketing initiatives, and client relationship management Engage in training and development programmes aligned to career progression Requirements Qualified solicitor with 3+ years’ post-qualification experience in commercial disputes Strong technical legal knowledge and high-quality drafting skills Proven ability to manage matters effectively and work to deadlines Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to learning and development Experience working on cross-border or multi‑jurisdictional disputes Exposure to specialist dispute areas such as fraud, finance, IP, IT, or competition law Experience contributing to business development or client initiatives Commercial litigation and dispute resolution Legal drafting and advocacy support Client‑focused advisory skills Collaboration across teams and offices Time management and prioritisation Business development and relationship building Competitive salary and benefits package Hybrid working model offering flexibility High-quality, complex work with leading partners Structured training and clear progression pathways Supportive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture Opportunity to build a long‑term career within a leading disputes practice Application Process Interested candidates should apply with an up-to-date CV outlining relevant commercial disputes experience.
