Retail Security Officer Join Carlisle Support Services as a Retail Security Officer and play a vital role in keeping our partner Tesco locations safe and welcoming. Job Introduction In partnership with Tesco, you will work as a Retail Security Officer to maintain the safety and wellbeing of customers, colleagues, and the premises. Various shift patterns available – choose the times that suit you best. FY1 6PU – Monday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 15:15‑23:15 (4 hrs break, 28 hrs paid per week, overtime available on days off) FY1 6ET – Wednesday‑Saturday 15:00‑23:00 (4 hrs break, 28 hrs paid per week, overtime available on days off) FY4 4UJ – Friday 16:00‑midnight, Saturday 15:00‑midnight, Sunday 09:30‑16:00 (2.5 hrs break, 21 hrs paid per week, overtime available on days off) Blackpool Area Relief – relief officer covering holidays and sickness across various locations. Hours include 06:00‑15:00, 15:00‑22:00/23:00. Flexible full‑time or supplementary role. Responsibilities Ensure the safety and wellbeing of colleagues, offering reassurance and empathy. Provide a professional, visible, and approachable security presence. Handle incidents with care and confidence, preserving a peaceful environment. Conduct security patrols to deter risks and control access points. Proactively engage with the public in a friendly and helpful manner. Respond to incidents, prioritising safety at all times. Offer guidance, information, and a welcoming first point of contact for customers. Follow and manage security procedures with confidence. Collaborate with team members to build strong working relationships and foster a positive work environment. Ideal Candidate Age 18+ (legal requirement) Valid SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence. 5 years of verifiable work and address history (BS7858 compliant). Dependable, punctual, and flexible. Professional appearance, friendly and approachable attitude. Passionate about delivering excellent service and open to learning. Security experience preferred but willingness to learn is paramount. Strong people skills and ability to build trust. Legal & Vetting Successful candidates will provide original documentation for screening, including passport, driving licence, recent utility bill, HMRC letter, bank statement or payslip, birth certificate or valid share code.
