Job Title: Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer.Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear.Salary / Benefits £22k – £35k + Training + Benefits We have an opportunity for a Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer to join an industry leading Water Hygiene / Water Treatment company with a strong presence in the North East. This role would suit a candidate will extensive experience working for an established Water Hygiene / Water Treatment company and will be carrying out various Water Hygiene / Remedial duties e.g., routine water sampling and temperature monitoring, deadleg removals, closed loop system analysis, removal, and installation of pipework (Copper and PVC) across Commercial, Leisure, Hospitality and Manufacturing sites. Due to the nature of the contracts, the successful applicant must be happy to travel consistently within the role. Consideration will be given to candidates from: Morpeth, Ashington, Gateshead, Tynemouth, South Shields, Sunderland, Peterlee, Durham, Hartlepool, Barnard Castle, Redcar, Middlesbrough, Darlington. Experience & Qualifications Will have experience working within the Water Hygiene / Water Treatment industry, ideally working as an engineer. Will hold the City and Guilds / NVQ L2/L3 in Plumbing. Able to prioritise workload in line with company / client needs. Able to communicate with colleagues / clients efficiently. Experience in softener installations / reverse osmosis, plant servicing and installations would be beneficial to the role but not essential. Will hold a full licence. The Role Routine water sampling and temperature monitoring. Dosing of closed systems. Cleaning and chlorination of cooling towers and water storage tanks. TMV testing, servicing, installation, and replacements. Closed system testing, analysis, and remediation. Deadleg removals. Closed loop system analysis. RPZ valve maintenance, service, and replacement. Showerhead descaled and disinfections. Calorifier pasteurisation. Removal and installation of pipework (Copper and PVC) Pre-commissioning cleaning and flushing. Water tank remediation. Expansion vessel reorientation. Ensuring work is being carried out in line with relevant HSG / ACoP L8 guidelines.
