Our 2,400 colleagues manage the 13,000km of overhead lines, 44,000km of underground cables and thousands of electricity substations to keep power flowing and supporting green growth. We’re one of six distribution network operators in the UK and are regulated. The Role From day one you’ll be involved in the planning, design, implementation and maintenance of our electrical distribution and transmission networks. Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians you’ll gain hands‑on experience with tasks such as installing substations, overhead lines and underground cables. As your knowledge grows you’ll take on more responsibility, making critical decisions about network operations and maintenance. You’ll also collaborate on innovative projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency, helping us deliver clean, sustainable electricity to homes and businesses across the region.
