You will adhere to health and safety at all times and follow all tasks in line with food safety rules.Understanding and attainment of both individual and department targets.Awareness of the usage of material and energy sources.Co‑operate in the continuous improvement of quality, safety and productivity standards.Manual handling of plant and equipment.Isolation of plant and machinery.Meet housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team.Compliance with food safety and HSE guidelines.Carry out instructions as given by the Team Leader or Management.What You’ll Need to Be SuccessfulGood level of English and basic numeracy skills.The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks.Experience within a production or manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.About Avara FoodsAvara Foods is one of the UK’s leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to the country’s major supermarkets and well‑known restaurants. We have major processing sites across England and Wales, and an agricultural network of over 350 farms, spanning from North Yorkshire to the South Coast and Wales.Hereford SiteOur largest site processes chicken products across two factory facilities, Grandstand Road and Yazor Road. Grandstand handles processing, whole‑bird production and portioning, with Yazor responsible for portioning and added value.
