Settlements Clerk | BGC Group – London

BGC Group is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Settlements Clerk to join our Operations team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the accurate and timely settlement of transactions across global markets.

As a Settlements Clerk, you'll be part of a collaborative team responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and booking of trades for BGC Brokers LP and GFI Securities LTD. You'll play a critical role in supporting settlements across Euroclear and Domestic markets, covering both Fixed Income and Equities across US and Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily monitoring of trade matching and timely resolution of any discrepancies.
  • Liaising with internal brokers and external clients to ensure accurate and timely settlement.
  • Escalating unmatched and failed trades as necessary.
  • Supporting settlements in Euroclear and Domestic markets for Bonds and Equities.

  • MS Outlook and Excel
  • Front Office & Operations trade capture systems
  • Euroclear
  • Bloomberg
  • In-house mainframe systems (Phase3, SYN, STN, RIMS)

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong attention to detail with a risk and controls mindset.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a high-volume workload.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated team player.
  • Previous office or settlements experience is advantageous.
  • Good academic background.
