The school caters to pupils with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), providing tailored support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The Role As an ASC Support Assistant, you will provide 1:1 support to pupils, helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and feel included in all aspects of school life. You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to deliver personalised strategies and build positive, trusting relationships with pupils. You Will Support pupils with ASC on a 1:1 basis and within group settings Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and strategies Promote independence, confidence, and social interaction Monitor pupil progress and contribute to feedback and reports Support pupils during break times, ensuring safety and positive engagement We Are Looking For Someone Who Has experience working with pupils with ASC or other complex needs Is patient, understanding, and adaptable Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues Is proactive and confident in managing challenging behaviours Has excellent communication and teamwork skills This is a full-time role, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with ASC.
