The Role As a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance, you will teach across undergraduate levels within the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. The role requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends. What you’ll be doing All aspects of planning, delivering and assessing student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met. Developing, updating and improving course materials. Using a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials. Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties. Keeping up to date with latest developments in the field and student support practices. Working towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression. About You Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable). Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area. Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter. Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback. Experience of accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records. Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills. Ability to work with diverse groups of people. Desirable Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
