Clinical Leader (Anaesthetic) Apply for the Clinical Leader (Anaesthetic) role at Nuffield Health Newcastle Hospital. This is a full‑time, permanent contract position, part of the nursing team at one of the north east’s leading private hospitals. The role requires 37.5 hours per week and the salary will be discussed at interview and is dependent on experience. Responsibilities Conduct and organize the Clinical/Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, ensuring the smooth running of theatre lists, booking forms and assisting sessions. Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department, including Endoscopy, General, Orthopaedics, Gynae. Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement and policy procedure enhancement to improve patient care and service delivery. Have extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits and equipment. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment. Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, including Surgical First Assist training. Qualifications You’re registered with the appropriate governing body and possess the relevant qualifications and post‑registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. Strong clinical leadership, good communication and organisational skills, and an understanding of running a smooth and effective department with equipment are essential.
