This school provides a high standard of education and focuses on secondary students with Autism and MLD needs and provides them with a daily structure and routine to ensure the best learning environment for their individual needs.

The school is looking for a determined SEND Teaching Assistant with the potential of a permanent position. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be confident and adaptable in working from Key Stage 3 / KS3 to Key Stage 4 / KS4 helping them to meet their milestones and giving them 1 to 1 support. The applicant would also have to be well equipped to deal with challenging behaviours and provide support to the teacher in the classroom.

 The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have the following:

Experience working with ASD and MLD
A calm, patient, and caring personality
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
Excellent classroom management
