Job Description 2026 UK Takeda Industrial Placement Program – a 12‑month placement as part of your university sandwich year, beginning in July 2026. This role is based in our UK Head Office in Paddington, Central London, with a minimum of eight days in the office per month. You will work within the Regulatory Affairs team, supporting the Medical Affairs organization and contributing from day one to the development, maintenance and regulation of Takeda’s medicinal products. About the Placement The placement offers a chance to learn the full development lifecycle of medicinal products, gain hands‑on experience with regulatory activities, and develop an early career understanding of the pharmaceutical industry. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, handle real projects, interact with internal and external stakeholders, and participate in industry group meetings and early‑career community events. Responsibilities Gain experience in a broad range of regulatory activities, providing technical and administrative support to the team. Learn the development lifecycle for medicinal products, from application to approval, across all therapy areas in the Takeda portfolio. Support the maintenance of existing and new medicinal marketing authorisations for products in the UK and Ireland. Take responsibility for your own projects, supporting Takeda’s commercial activities and strategies. Prepare, compile, submit and receive approval for a wide range of regulatory applications. Learn about the regulatory environment in the EU and the UK and post‑Brexit industry challenges, helping shape the future operating model for Regulatory Affairs at Takeda. Interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities in the UK and Ireland. Participate in industry group meetings with other pharmaceutical companies. Take an active role in Takeda’s early‑careers community IGNITE and other reference groups aligned to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion values. Qualifications and Skills Enthusiastic, committed, and conscientious student. Operates with a high level of integrity, transparency and accountability. Good interpersonal skills, with effective verbal and written communication skills. Approachable and a strong team player. Proactive, with a willingness to learn and improve performance through feedback. Well‑organised with good attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Computer literate. Can effectively prioritise and manage multiple concurrent tasks. Who can apply Currently enrolled in an undergraduate scientific or STEM degree, looking to complete a 12‑month placement as part of ongoing studies, with a return to the course at the end of the placement. The selection process includes CV & Cover Letter screening, online aptitude testing, a video interview with the Talent Team, an online personality questionnaire and a face‑to‑face or virtual assessment centre. Assessment centres are expected to be held in January–February 2026. Successful candidates will start in July 2026.
