We offer a welcoming working environment where you can feel valued, encouraged to develop, and supported to achieve your full potential.We are looking for an approachable HR Coordinator to join the School of Arts and Humanities shared HR team to provide a professional and efficient administrative service to faculties and research centres within the School.This role will sit within the School of Arts and Humanities HR team and will coordinate to provide comprehensive HR support and guidance to 11 institutions, across the School. The role holder will work within a centralised School HR team, comprised of two other HR professionals, and will have close liaison with two HR Business Partners, for development and mentoring.This role primarily supports the administrators and managers in the Schools institutions, by providing advice on HR policy and procedures, managing and coordinating recruitment processes, advising on HR issues and contractual matters, coordinating probation and appraisal processes and offering support and advice to colleagues, as appropriate.In addition, the role holder will be expected to gather, collate and analyse HR data and provide reports to HR Business Partners, Departmental Administrators and Heads of Institutions, to help inform management decisions.The role holder will provide support across the School and will be expected to regularly meet with institutional colleagues both in person and on Microsoft.The successful candidate will have relevant HR experience, be able to deliver a high level of customer service, maintain complete confidentiality and have the ability to plan and prioritise their own workload. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential to interact with Faculty and Centre administrators, internal recruiters, central University HR, staff and applicants, with varying levels of seniority. Previous knowledge of University of Cambridge HR systems (including CHRIS, RAS and Web Recruitment) is desirable, but not essential.Conversations about flexible working are encouraged at the University of Cambridge.
