Tameside is seeking committed professionals to join our newly formed team, working alongside Community Mental Health Teams, the Living Well service, and the Early Intervention Team. AMHP Opportunities & Allowance: If you are not yet an AMHP, we will support you in working towards this qualification. If you are already an AMHP, you will participate in our AMHP rota (approximately 2 duties per month) and receive an extra allowance per shift. Your Role As a Mental Health Social Worker, you will: Coordinate, commission, and deliver individual care and social support packages. Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to support individuals with complex mental health needs. Ensure the Council’s obligations under the Care Act and other statutory responsibilities are met. Support young people transitioning from children’s services to adult mental health services. About You What We’re Looking For: A must : qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in adult social care and mental health practice. A must : due to the nature of this role, it is an essential requirement that the post holder has a valid driving licence and has access to a car they can use for work purposes, unless precluded by a disability when reasonable adjustments will be considered.
