Role OverviewWe are looking for an Operations Finance Analyst to lead cost of sales reporting, gross margin analysis, pre-crop balance sheet management, and packhouse reporting in the UK. This role partners closely with the Operations Director and management team to provide accurate reporting, scenario planning, and budget and forecast support, helping drive business profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations ReportingLead month end cost of sales journals, ensuring accurate allocation of direct and indirect costsReview pre crop costs including labour, plant, field costs, and utilities in line with harvest forecastsProvide crop and variety level gross margin analysis to support operational decision makingDeliver variance analysis and reporting for Production and Packhouse managementManage stock, plant purchase, and utilities reconciliationsSupport accurate labour cost reporting with HR and Rewards teamsBusiness Partnering and Decision SupportProvide data and scenario planning to enable effective operational decision-makingEnsure consistent reporting and processes across different regions and teamsBudgeting and ForecastingLead cost of sales budgeting and forecasting, including labour, crop plans, and gross margin assumptionsProvide customer gross margin analysis for budget and forecast comparisonsCollaborate with finance, operations, and procurement teams on energy, utilities, and plant payment assumptionsOther ResponsibilitiesSupport plant order scheduling and payments to align with cashflowValidate utility usage and rates, ensuring accurate invoice approvalsRespond to ad hoc queries from Finance, Commercial, and Operations teamsKey StakeholdersFinance leadership including Finance Director, Financial Controller, and Commercial Business PartnerOperations Director, Packhouse Manager, and Production managementExternal auditorsSkills, Qualifications, and ExperienceQualified accountant such as CIMA, ACCA, or equivalentStrong financial analysis experience, particularly gross margin reportingDetail oriented with high data integrityProficient in Business Central or similar finance systemsExperience in FMCG, food, or agriculture preferredKey Skills and Personal QualitiesCollaborative and commercial mindsetClear communication and strong analytical skillsHigh accuracy and attention to detailProactive, enthusiastic, and team orientInterested in this opportunity, please apply below, alternatively, contact Angus on 01780 480530 or Angus@morepeople.co.uk #J-18808-Ljbffr
