The Role NHS Lanarkshire is looking to recruit a Superintendent Radiographer, based within University Hospital Hairmures. The post holder will be Lead Radiographer for one or more highly specialised Radiographic imaging modalities with associated managerial responsibility for Radiographic staff, resources and a devolved budget. You will support the Deputy Radiology Service Manager and Clinical Director in meeting operational and strategic targets, and improving the quality of patient care within the Radiology Speciality. What we’ll need you to bring Registered Radiographer with valid HCPC Registration Educated to / working towards / operating at Degree Level Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality / area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice. Management qualification or equivalent gained through experience and continuous professional development Further education / evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days / courses / post graduate qualification The post holder will possess excellent team-working / leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills. Effective time management skills Working knowledge of basic information technology Must be able to travel to attend meetings Full, valid drivers licence Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK / EU / EEA licence. It would be great if you also have Evidence of clinical training and personal motivation Radiographic QA experience DR Radiography experience Extensive knowledge of plain radiography imaging. Training / refresher on Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017 Evidence of management / leadership training. Contract type Permanent Full time 37 hours Location and Working Pattern This role will be based in Radiology within University Hospital Hairmyres, The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday.
