The Role As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be part of our client’s dedicated support team, providing essential care in their home. We are recruiting 2 x PAs for this role, both for 24 hours a week. Shifts are for days and require flexibility across all days of the week. Client & Responsibilities Our client is a lovely lady with learning disabilities and severe epilepsy. She lives at home with her parents and requires 24/7 support to manage her needs and ensure her safety. Responsibilities include: Assist with personal care and personal hygiene Support with mealtimes and medication administration Encourage participation in activities such as jigsaw puzzles, building blocks, television, and garden strolls Provide a calming, low‑arousal environment to promote well‑being Training & Support We provide comprehensive paid training (CQC standards) before your start date, covering: Full induction Safeguarding Adults First Aid / Food Hygiene / Health & Safety Moving & Handling Medication Care Needs / Personal Care Epilepsy Awareness / Learning Disabilities / Challenging Behaviours All training must be completed prior to start date and is paid at minimum wage. Qualifications & Conditions This position is female‑only in accordance with The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1 Driver with a full UK licence and own vehicle is essential Previous care experience is desirable Good knowledge of epilepsy and learning disabilities is preferred A compassionate, reliable, and committed individual Commitment to long‑term, person‑centred care Benefits & Support Company pension scheme Enhanced bank holiday pay Paid training Dedicated Regional Care Lead & Nurse support 24/7 on‑call assistance Employee perks such as Blue Light discount card, long service awards, and welfare support via Spectrum Life All staff are vetted, trained, and supervised to the highest standards.
