OverviewSenior Civil / Structural Engineer – Outside IR35 at Kent. Kent is looking for a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.We are seeking a candidate with experience in civil/structural engineering for projects in the oil & gas, process plants, green energy and biofuels sectors, both in the UK and overseas. This role involves FEED and Detailed Engineering projects, and requires collaboration across disciplines to deliver high-quality engineering outputs.Key DeliverablesCivil / Structural engineering and design aspects for FEED and Detailed Engineering projectsOil & Gas and Process Plants projects in UK and overseasGreen Energy and Biofuels projects in UK and overseasCivil / Structural calculationsSketches and drawingsReview and checking of engineering deliverablesSpecificationsTechnical reportsScopes of workInputs to drawings and 3D modelsPreparation of MTOsMisc technical documentationScope applicable to Civil Works, Piling, Foundations, Steel Structures and Industrial BuildingsKey RequirementsEngineering degree, honours or equivalent in Civil / Structural Engineering (minimum)Chartered Engineer or member of an appropriate professional organizationExperience in Civil/Structural Engineering related to structures supporting hydrocarbon projectsFEED, detailed design and EPC projectsKnowledge and experience of applicable international and industry specifications, standards and codesTechnical knowledge in the engineering and design of foundations, piling, reinforced concrete structures, steel structures and buildingsComplementary knowledge of civil and underground engineering and designHands-on experience with engineering software and tools relevant to Civil / Structural Engineering; Staad Pro experience preferredAbout Kent and EqualityWe are committed to a diverse and inclusive community where everyone can thrive.
