North West Ambulance Service is looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Rostering Coordinator based at Toxteth Ambulance Station within the Cheshire & Merseyside Area North Sector. Key Responsibilities Resource planning of the Central and South Liverpool Group’s ambulances and rapid response vehicles through advanced allocation of daily shifts for operational ambulance personnel ensuring effective cover of all resources. Facilitating short‑notice cover for absences, which can occur with less than 24 hours’ notice, using overtime and bank colleagues. Managing, maintaining and recording staff hours/shifts on the global rostering system, including planned shift hours, overtime, annual leave, requests for special leave, sickness absence and training. Working in partnership with other rostering coordinators and the Senior Paramedic team in the sector to ensure cover for all contingencies as required. Ensuring effective continuation of rota cover for all groups by supporting the whole sector when required. Producing performance and management information and providing administrative and clerical support to the leadership team in the area. Reports directly to the Group Operations Manager. Our highly skilled staff provide life‑saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed. We also provide non‑emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non‑emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need. Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
