Clinical Practitioner – Winter Planning Team
2 weeks ago
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Clinical Practitioner to join our existing team of Clinical Practitioners as part of our winter planning initiative. We are specifically looking for an experienced clinician to help support and consult our patients through the winter period (October to end of February), with a particular focus on managing seasonal and winter‑related illnesses. In the main these are patients presenting with chest, throat or ear infections and these consultations are face‑to‑face. To manage the increased demand during winter, we have previously implemented a highly successful system during the winter months in which patients are directed to attend the surgery and “Sit and Wait” to be seen by one of our Clinical Practitioners. You will hold a prescribing qualification and a Level 7 qualification, such as APACS or a Minor Illness/Injury course. Paediatric experience would be desirable but is not essential for this role. We are a SystmOne Practice and use SystmConnect to facilitate a total triage model for all appointments. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward‑thinking and supportive team delivering timely, high‑quality care to a population of almost 35,000 patients, across four sites in the Worksop area. We are proud to be rated Outstanding by the CQC and are committed to innovation, continuous improvement, and developing new and effective ways of working to meet patient needs. If you are passionate about patient care, especially during the high‑demand winter months, and want to work in a progressive and collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you. What We’re Looking For: A registered nurse, paramedic, or allied health professional (NMC/HCPC registered). Proven experience in minor illness management in primary or urgent care settings, with a level 7 qualification such as APACS and/or Minor illness qualification. Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills. A confident, compassionate communicator with a team‑focused approach. General practice experience is desirable but not essential. About the Practice We are based over 4 sites with a patient list size of approximately 35,000 and rated “Outstanding” by CQC. We believe in innovation and are always striving to find more efficient ways of working and improve patient care.
