Through the wide range of our activities, we are central to the collective organisation of society and the living environment of citizens all over the world.About the RoleReporting to the Water Project Management Delivery Lead for the UK, your role as Senior Project Manager will involve delivering work with water companies or the Environment Agency in the Midlands area predominantly with opportunity to work in the North West of England in consultancy roles. However, there will be opportunity for progression between UK water, environment, rail or nuclear sectors.As a Senior Project Manager, you will have knowledge and experience in pre- and post-contract management in NEC 3 or NEC 4 ECC form and procurement within the UK water, environment, rail or nuclear sector. The senior Project Manager will be expected to utilise their major project experience and knowledge to drive efficiencies and effective supply chain engagement and contract management.As Senior Project Manager you will have experience working with Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and/ or Early Subcontractor Involvement (ESI) in design and build major capital programmes.We will fully support your personal growth and development enabling you access to training courses, a path to chartership or help you develop your career to the level you want. We are true believers in personal development and will support you every step of the way.Role ResponsibilitiesGeneralNEC3/4 Option A, Option C, Option E ECC Contract management and administration client sideBudget controlCollaborating with the QS on Payment valuations and certifying monthly payments under ECC and PSC forms of the NEC 4 form of contractActual cost forecasting and Defined Cost determination in collaboration with the QSEstablishing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholdersEnsure appropriate project management records and commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issuesInvestigate and draft contract communications and notices including Early Warning Notices, notification of Compensation Events, General Communications in line with best practicePre-Contract ActivitiesConduct initial project scope planning, cost estimates and feasibility studiesPreparation of tender documentationEvaluation of tendersIdentify potential risks and develop mitigation strategiesCollaborate with contractors early in the design phasePost-Contract ActivitiesManage and administer construction contractsMonitor project expenditure and manage cash flowLead the evaluation and negotiation of change orders or variationsClaims and dispute resolutionFinal accounts and post-project evaluationWhat do we need from youBachelor’s or master’s Degree qualification in a numeric degreeFull Membership of chartered body such APM at MAPM.A wealth of experience postgraduate in Rail, Nuclear, Water and/ or Environment.Line Management and recruitment experience of Project Mangers or Assistant Project Mangers.CDM regulation knowledge and experience.Valid CSCS card, with Water Hygiene Card desirable.Main contractor and/or joint venture experience working client sideSite presence and co‑location minimum 3 days a weekAn experienced user of the NEC3‑4 suite of contracts (A‑C‑E must have)You must have the right to work in the UKThis role is subject to client interview and acceptanceWhat’s in it for you?We are committed to our planetIn each project we design, engineer and operate we care deeply about the legacy we’re leaving behind.
