OverviewHeavy Equipment Mechanic position at Harsco Environmental. Primary responsibility is to support maintenance activities in the shop and on-site, including diagnosing and repairing equipment, servicing (fluids, filters), and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Assist in general site-related maintenance activities.ResponsibilitiesExperienced in repairing large, off-road, construction-type equipment in an industrial environment.Self-starter with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete repairs to heavy off-road equipment such as loaders, material handlers, trucks, and cranes.Knowledge and experience with diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems and/or electronics preferred.Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.Understand technical manuals, illustrations, specifications, diagrams, schematics, and similar guides to perform repairs and modifications according to OEM specifications and procedures.QualificationsLicenses / Certifications: 421AWe Offer$50.72 per hour for Heavy EquipmentGuaranteed raises$500 tool allowance paid each yearFull-Time PermanentOvertime available after 40 hoursCall-in – minimum of 4 hours at time and a halfBenefits – health, dental, disability, life insurance – RRSP match 5%Additional InformationWe offer competitive benefits, including health insurance, life insurance and disability plans, as well as a 401k with company matching.Harsco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
