CPD is being paid at the higher level of £2000 per annum with the facility accumulating annual funding for up to three years to accommodate accessing higher cost development opportunities The Trust is looking to recruit a full time Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our North Youth team. This fixed term post has come about to cover maternity leave, and joins a lively multidisciplinary team at 80 St Stephens Norwich. The post holder will be expected to work in several different settings within the Locality, including other Trust facilities, primary care, local acute Hospital NHS Trust facilities, and patients' residences. Main duties of the job This role will provide Consultant level support to the Youth team in terms of being part of the MDT discussions and interventions offered to those accessing the services. The role also entails a high level of clinical leadership in terms of both supporting service developments as well as maintaining good clinical governance and assurance that the service is safe and effective. About us Norfolk's CFYP services are very involved in working with the wider system to develop Youth services in Norfolk as part of the local transformation plan. We are working with commissioners to make things as seamless as possible for young people and their families. Person Specification Qualifications Entry on the GMC Register Approved Clinician Status Section 12(2) approval under the Mental Health Act Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCST Experience 3 years or equivelent medical experience 6 months experience in relevant clinical area Evidence of knowledge of diagnosis, treatment + management of complex mental illness Attributes Effective team working Flexibility Driving license/able to travel independently Research Clinical Governance A clear understanding of Clinical Governance Demonstrate a commitment to open review of practice Teaching Experience of supervising junior medical staff Teaching and presentation skills Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. £109,725 to £145,478 a yeargross per annum #J-18808-Ljbffr
