SEND Teaching Assistant Needed – Guisborough Are you a patient, supportive, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for helping children with additional needs? A welcoming school in Guisborough is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide tailored support to pupils who need it most. Location: GuisboroughStart Date: OctoberPosition: SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time / Long-term Support pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis or within small groups Assist with learning activities, emotional regulation, and behaviour support Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans Adapt resources and approaches to meet each child's needs Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where all pupils can thrive Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families Experience supporting children with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties) A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team Flexibility and a proactive attitude to meet the varying needs of pupils All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
