Plant Fitter / Maintenance Engineer Location: Woking (travel as required) Salary: Up to £50k dependent on experience Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Company Overview We are delighted to be supporting our client, a civil engineering and groundworks contractor with decades of experience in bespoke, high-end, and premium residential developments .To be considered for an interview, please make sure your application is full in line with the job specs as found below.They offer project management, design, civil services as well as demolition and landscaping to help deliver on domestic developments of up to £2.5m .Having completed hundreds of projects across London, the Home Counties and the wider UK , and due to a strong upcoming book of work, they are now seeking an experienced Plant Fitter to help oversee the maintenance and upkeep of company equipment, machinery, and tools .The Role Our client is looking for a skilled Plant Fitter / Maintenance Engineer to ensure their fleet remains in excellent working order.The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a range of heavy plant machinery and small tools used across civil engineering and groundwork projects.This is a hands-on, varied role involving both yard-based work and on-site support, ensuring all plant and equipment are safe, reliable, and compliant.Key Responsibilities Service, inspect, and repair a wide range of heavy plant equipment (excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, etc.) Maintain and repair small tools and site equipment as required Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs Conduct regular maintenance schedules and keep accurate service records Support site teams with breakdowns and callouts when required Ensure all work complies with company health & safety procedures Requirements Proven experience as a Plant Fitter , Maintenance Engineer , or similar within civil engineering or construction Strong knowledge of heavy plant, hydraulics, and mechanical systems Experience maintaining small tools and portable plant Full UK driving licence Relevant qualifications ( NVQ / City & Guilds in Plant Maintenance or similar) preferred but not essential A proactive and self-motivated approach with strong problem-solving skills What's on Offer Up to £50k dependent on experience Company van / fuel card (if applicable) Potential for overtime opportunities Long-term role within a well-established civil engineering contractor These roles are likely to move quickly with the client looking to arrange interviews for suitable candidates immediately.Please apply with an updated CV.Applications If you feel that you have the relevant experience to be successful in this position and would like to find out more, please apply online today, attaching a copy of your current CV.Due to the vast number of applications that we receive, it is not possible for us to contact all applicants; therefore, only suitable candidates will be contacted.If you do not hear anything back within 7 days of submitting your application, you have unfortunately not been selected.Linsco is an equal opportunities employer.All applicants will be considered on their merits regardless of background, characteristics or personal circumstances. xsabvtc All applications will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.
