Corporate Tax Director

In a nutshellA fantastic role in our Tax team for an individual with significant compliance and advisory experience. You will help manage and develop our corporate tax team and well-established portfolio of OMB/SME and large corporate clients providing a mix of compliance and advisory services.You’ll be part of a collaborative 130 strong multi-discipline tax team who are spread across our nine offices. With support from our 13 experienced Tax Partners, the team do interesting and meaningful work daily.The role comes with flexible, hybrid working with plenty of opportunities to develop and grow your Tax career.What you\'ll be doing day to dayPlaying a key and leading role in developing and maintaining relationships with our corporate clientsReporting to and assisting the Tax PartnersLiaising with the Accounts and Audit Directors/Partners to ensure a comprehensive tax service to clientsManaging the Complex Corporate Tax teamProviding technical and mentoring support to the junior Tax team membersManaging and reviewing complex corporate tax returnsBeing the point of contact for HMRC, including the CCM where relevant and supporting clients with handling HMRC investigationsRemaining technically up to date with all relevant tax matters and able to accurately interpret and apply current tax legislationManaging work-in-progress on all assignments ensuring regular and timely billing and assisting with the prompt collection of debtorsBe involved in internal and external presentationsAssisting in developing tax technical materials and where relevant, carrying out training on specific corporate tax technical areasAbout youSignificant experience of tax with a focus on large corporate tax complianceCTA qualified, ACA or ACCA an advantageExcellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to work with people at all levelsSelf-motivated and able to show initiativeAccurate and able to work well under pressureGood problem-solving skillsSociable and enjoys being part of a wider teamWhy work at PKF Francis ClarkAs the largest firm of independent chartered accountants and business advisers in South West England, PKF Francis Clark offers a breadth of opportunities to develop your career in the way that’s right for you.Established in 1919, we’ve grown to a team of nearly 1,000 people, based across our offices in Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Poole, Salisbury, Southampton, Taunton, Torquay and Truro.
