Industrial Quality Inspector
Based Derby
On going contract
To start asap
37hrs per week Monday to Friday working days
£17.85PAYE £23.12 Umbrella plus shift and overtime rates if and when appropriate

The Role
Inspection of part / product / train / installation
Support Improvement of Zero Defect Program
Reporting of defects & ensure product compliance (check after rework), especially for Special Processes

Main responsibilities

Accountabilities & Authorities:
Perform inspections and ensure product compliance (check after rework) according to Quality Control Plan
Records inspection results in the industrial digital tools as required
Support EPU manager for Station to Station Hand Over
Perform Workstation Quality Animation with EPU (Elementary Production Unit) manager including simple problem solving (5W)
Perform destructive & non-destructive examination

Performance measurements:
Inspection method time adherence
Self-Inspection effectiveness
Proper defect characterization (e.g. Defect catalogue, 5W2H, Acceptance criteria's, …)
Management of rework (Validation included)

Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment
Special Process Qualification minimum at Level 2 according to Quality Academy criteria's
Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment

Mandatory:
4+ years quality inspection experience within manufacturing industry including using of digital tools
Competencies & Skills
Rigor & communication
Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working
