Short stay, convalescence and palliative care also available. The home is arranged into different houses for different types of care and is surrounded by beautiful landscaped grounds. Residents also have a choice of lounge and dining areas, a sensory room and activities rooms. Registered nurses and well-trained care assistants know that it's important to create a friendly atmosphere at the home, giving all residents as much independence as possible, while also making sure that they have all the care and help they require. Residents are served nutritious meals that are tailored to individual diet plans. Afternoon tea and fresh fruit platters are popular, as are homemade cakes. A versatile activities programme aims to help residents maintain their independence as long as possible. Residents can enjoy a wide range of hobbies, coffee mornings, outings, music and other games, arts and crafts as well as weekly visits from the neighbouring nursery and part of an ongoing initiative to help bring old and young people together.**We make health happen**Here at Bupa we support those when they need it the most. It’s an exciting time to be with us.**You’ll help us make health happen by:*** Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit* Supporting with clinical duties, including supporting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans and accurate record keeping* Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers of the teams* Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported* Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses* Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties**Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:*** You’ll have completed / working towards an NVQ3 in care. We’re more than happy to support you in the completion of your qualification if needed.* You're motivated, positive and with great interpersonal skills, and you enjoy working in a close-knit team. You’re pivotal in running a unit, working with the Nurse to aid with clinical duties for the home.* You have previous experience of the role and knowledge of its rewards and challenges.
