VP, Trader, Portfolio Execution Group – Equities Company: GIC GIC is one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, operating across more than 40 countries and 11 global offices. As a leading long‑term investor, we focus on delivering high‑quality portfolio execution that supports GIC’s investment strategy and long‑term growth. Responsibilities Partner with portfolio management teams to manage execution risks and implement investment views across EMEA equity markets, including both cash instruments and derivatives, using a range of execution methods (voice & electronic). Synthesize market themes and insights, producing timely and differentiated intelligence for GIC stakeholders. Collaborate with the Applied Research Unit and Technology Group to analyze trading data, continuously sharpening execution processes and enhancing GTU’s trading technology suite (automated trading, pre‑ and post‑trade checks, market surveillance). Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties and liquidity providers, using strong interpersonal and communication skills. Qualifications Relevant trading experience in EMEA equity markets across cash equities and derivatives. Strong programming skills in Python; passion for data‑driven insights is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication, with strong negotiation and relationship‑building abilities. Exceptional problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills, with keen attention to detail. Dynamic, resilient, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented professional. Flexibility and Work Environment GIC’s hybrid model requires teams to work in the office four days a week, with flexibility to choose which days are remote. This approach balances in‑person collaboration with the option to work from home as situational needs arise.
