Job Purpose The Global Director – Finished Vehicles holds the primary responsibility of shaping and implementing a comprehensive FVL strategy within automotive, ensuring alignment with industry trends, supply chain management best practices and DP World regions. By leveraging their expertise, the FVL sub‑vertical leader actively contributes to the development of end‑to‑end solutions, utilizing data‑driven insights and collaborating with the ports and terminals team to enhance thought leadership and drive sales. They play a vital role in supporting Vertical VP, global and key account management, acting as a subject‑matter expert to provide tailored solutions, presentations & collateral to contribute to the overall coordination and management of key account teams and all DPW automotive efforts globally. Functions as DP World global expert for the FVL sub‑vertical. Is responsible for facilitating new business growth for all DPW services within the FVL sector. Key Accountabilities Vertical Strategy Development: The Global Director – Finished Vehicles is responsible for formulating and implementing a comprehensive sub‑vertical strategy, focusing on staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in supply chain management within FVL products & services. End‑to‑End Solutions Expertise: The sub‑vertical leader plays a pivotal role in analysing logistics data, identifying optimisation opportunities, and spearheading the development of fit‑for‑purpose end‑to‑end solutions. Collaborating closely with the ports & terminals team and regional management, they contribute to the creation of innovative products that drive thought leadership and sales. Global and Key Account Management Support: Acting as a subject‑matter expert, the sub‑vertical leader supports Global Vertical VP, global and key account management by providing insights for end‑to‑end solutions tailored to customers’ needs. They actively contribute to the coordination and management of key account teams, ensuring seamless service delivery. The FVL sub‑vertical leader assists GKAMs, RKAM, Key Account Managers and regional P&T management in selling FVL solutions to automotive customers around the world. Commercial Leadership: Facilitate FVL sales in all regions, selling all DPW services. Lead by example, using FVL / logistics expertise. Goal is to increase DPW FVL revenue 10% ($25M) by 2027 year end. Thought Leadership and Training: The Global Director – Finished Vehicles actively promotes thought leadership by conducting training sessions and organising customer events. They represent the company at industry conferences, showcasing expertise. Collaborating closely with marketing and communications, they develop distinct collaterals and PR materials that effectively highlight the unique offerings of vertical solutions, positioning DP World as an expert and leader in FVL products and services. The Global Director – Finished Vehicles works with clients globally, conducting meetings with (or in the absence of) Global Vertical VP. He / she functions as a central point of contact for DPW’s FVL sub‑vertical and is expected to assist internal and external clients with anything / everything FVL. The FVL vertical leader keeps track of all metrics for the FVL sub‑vertical and maintains / creates appropriate collateral, presentations and other materials for use within and outside (with customers) of the FVL sub‑vertical. Working with the Global Vertical VP, ensures high performing & collaborating automotive team promoting engagement and ensuring that everyone is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound. Always act as an ambassador for DP World when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies. Perform other related duties as assigned. Experience, Skills and Qualification Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. MBA preferred. Extensive experience (15+ years) in logistics and supply chain management, with a specific focus on developing and implementing logistics strategies within the automotive industry. Automotive Finished Vehicle Logistics experience required, including trade lane knowledge, RORO shipping, port processing, vehicle handling / PDI and cars in containers. Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective logistics and supply chain strategies within automotive FVL segment, resulting in tangible contributions to business growth and profitability. Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to work with large datasets related to automotive (ideally) supply chain operations. Track record of leading cross‑functional teams and driving operational excellence within a logistics context. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex logistics concepts to non‑logistics stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Experience in implementing Lean methodology and driving continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations. Familiarity with logistics technology commonly used in the automotive FVL industry. Ability to positively interact with outside clients, sell & explain appropriate solutions. Knows when to engage proper people / departments within DPW. Professionally presents themselves and company. Able to present to groups, in person or on video. Has excellent listening skills. Work seamlessly with internal DPW staff and departments and has a high degree of influencing skills to achieve objectives with non‑direct reports, region personnel and departments.
