Responsible Pharmacist Join to apply for the Responsible Pharmacist role at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced pharmacist to join our Outpatient Pharmacy Service. The service is operated by SDH Developments Ltd, which is a limited company wholly owned by Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. The service has been running since 2013 and currently dispenses approximately 80,000 items per annum with a value of more than £10m. The medicines are given directly to patients or transported to their homes via the SDH delivery service. Applications will be considered from pharmacists with a hospital or community pharmacy background. Responsibilities Support the Superintendent pharmacist and Dispensary operations manager in delivering a professional and efficient outpatient pharmacy service. Support a team of pharmacy technicians, dispensers and counter assistants in providing an efficient dispensing service to outpatients at Torbay Hospital and surrounding Community Hospitals. Support the production and updating of policies and procedures to maintain compliance with General Pharmaceutical Council and Medicines Act requirements. Ensure that all policies and procedures related to the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Medicines Act are observed by all staff at all times.
