OverviewJob Title: Veterinary AnaesthetistLocation: Northwest Veterinary Specialists RuncornJob Type: 12-month Fixed Term ContractHours: 36 hours per week with one night per week on call and a share of the weekend on call rotaAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a board-certified or residency-trained anaesthetist to join our team on a 1-year fixed-term contract from mid December 2025 with a likely possibility to extend to a permanent contract.We are a friendly, collaborative and experienced anaesthesia team consisting of 3 anaesthetists (2 ECVAA diplomates and 1 residency-trained, board-eligible anaesthetist) and one VTS anaesthesia nurse.Why join usLeading referral hospital NWVS is one of the UK’s top referral-only small animal hospitals located in Cheshire.Multidisciplinary excellence with services in orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, neurology, internal medicine, oncology, anaesthesia, dermatology and diagnostic imaging, staffed to European Diplomate or RCVS Specialist standards.Commitment to training with European-approved residency programmes in small animal surgery, neurology, internal medicine and oncology.State-of-the-art facilities: imaging includes digital radiography, fluoroscopy (C-arm with subtraction and road-mapping), ultrasonography and a high-field 1.5T MRI and CT.
