With offices in Welshpool and Wolverhampton, we value our people, champion quality, and are committed to safety, sustainability and innovation.The RoleReporting to a Contracts Manager, you’ll manage day-to-day site activities from pre-start to handover, ensuring programme, cost, quality and H&S objectives are met while building strong relationships with clients, consultants, neighbours and statutory bodies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the site team from mobilisation through to completion; attend pre-start meetings.Plan and manage the programme, short-term look-aheads and sequencing; track progress and KPIs.Maintain exemplary H&S in line with company policies: RAMS, inductions, permits, inspections, toolbox talks and incident reporting.Drive quality through inspections, snag control and timely sign-off.Coordinate materials, labour, plant and subcontractors; manage ordering, receipt and reconciliation.Liaise with clients, consultants and statutory bodies; support approvals and inspections.Contribute to commercial management with the QS/Commercial team: monitor costs, variations and value protection.Keep robust records (diaries, RFI registers, weekly reports); support O&M and H&S file collation.Uphold the Considerate Constructors Scheme; lead positive community and neighbour relations.Align site needs with procurement, buying and commercial teams.Manage environmental controls, waste and sustainability measures.Provide visible leadership aligned to SWG values: safety, responsibility, quality and respect.Set clear roles and expectations; hold regular briefings and reviews.Mentor junior staff and apprentices; promote training and continuous improvement.Foster a high-morale, solution-focused culture with fair, proactive issue resolution.What You’ll BringProven track record managing new-build residential projects (social/affordable, supported living, key-worker or student accommodation advantageous).SMSTS and First Aid at Work (essential); Asbestos Awareness and Fire Marshal (desirable).Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation, quality management and temporary works (TWS/TWC desirable).Highly organised, proactive and calm under pressure; confident with client and stakeholder engagement.Digital fluency (Microsoft 365 and site reporting tools).Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.What We OfferCompetitive salary plus car allowance and mileage.33 days’ holiday (including bank holidays) and company pension scheme.EV salary-sacrifice scheme post-probation; funded training/certifications and clear progression.A supportive, family-feel culture where your leadership helps us build better.Ready to Make Your Mark?Click “Apply” on LinkedIn with a short cover letter (highlighting relevant residential projects and current certifications).
