From your first day, you'll join an unrivalled community of experts, where everyone is supported in their career path and encouraged to work towards a professional qualification.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of mechanical design concepts that encompass the latest design thinking on low energy and low carbon design, natural ventilation, sustainability and zero carbonComplete the design of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systemsUsing software and digital tools to analysis and optimise solutionsUse of 3D modelling packages (Revit) to develop system designsUndertake thermal and Building Regulation compliance modelling using proprietary software (IESVE or similar)Prepare mark-ups and work with other design team members to progress holistic design of the project in question.Prepare and input to decarbonisation strategies for buildings with respect to both operational and embodied carbonConduct site visitsPrepare reports, presentations and site reportsCarry out analysis of new technologies and how they can be incorporated into our projects to ensure a sustainable and robust designIs this role right for you?For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:Master's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Building Services Engineering, however strong Bachelors degrees in these subjects will also be consideredStudying, or have studied, an IMechE, CIBSE or Engineering Council accredited courseWe\'re Looking ForChangemakers: A passion for sustainable development and creating a better world is key.Innovative minds: We\'re looking for critical thinkers who embrace new ideas and challenge the status quo.Growth seekers: You have a growth mindset, always eager to learn and explore new ways of working.Adaptable adventurers: You\'re ready to take on any challenge that comes your way.You should be able to start this opportunity in September 2026.Advert closing date: 15th November 2025Please note, in the event of high applicant volume, this role may be closed ahead of the advertised closing date.
