Administrative duties to assist the Upstream Energy underwriting team: Maintenance of underwriting e-files. Initiation, checking and management of data entry, premium booking, and credit control processes. Liaising with various parties (operations team, accounting department, brokers) for premium issues such as premium reconciliation, outstanding premiums, and other accounting issues. Liaising with brokers on new business and renewals and attending client presentations. Logging of risk submissions received. Tracking of policy renewals throughout the year, including sending out renewal reminders to brokers. Working on account specific executive underwriting summaries. Assisting with generation and checking of underwriting reports: Checking of Daily Premium Movement reports. Checking of Monthly Claim Movement reports. Facilitating White Space / PPL submissions. Ad hoc generation of underwriting reports as required. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal procedures: Sanctions screening and checks. Attending to internal and external auditors’ enquiries. Learning about the Insurance industry and Energy markets: Work towards obtaining an Advanced Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK), if this hasn’t yet been attained. Market research of the Insurance and Offshore Renewable Energy industries. Client research (for both potential and existing clients). Attending client/broker meetings and/or virtual presentations. About You We encourage you to bring your own experience and expertise to the table, so while there are some qualifications and experiences, we need you to have, we are open to discussing how your individual knowledge might lend itself to fulfilling this role and help us achieve our goals. What you need to have Diploma / Degree holder Preferably with 3+ years of relevant experience in the London Market, preferably within the Energy (Re)Insurance sector but not essential. Good working knowledge in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, Kofax PDF Editor and White Space/PPL.
