Company Description Holland Park Lawn Tennis Club, established in 1875, is one of London’s prestigious private tennis clubs, renowned for its well‑maintained courts and excellent social facilities. Nestled in the heart of London, the club features eight courts, including five artificial and three grass courts, alongside a charming lounge, bar, and terrace. With a membership of approximately 850 individuals, the club has a rich history of hosting iconic tennis players like Billie Jean King and Jimmy Connors. The club provides a vibrant community for tennis enthusiasts and maintains a strong tradition of excellence. Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site position located in London. The Tennis Club General Manager will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure the smooth functioning of the club. Responsibilities include managing memberships, coordinating events, ensuring courts and facilities are well‑maintained, managing food & beverage, implementing strategies to enhance members’ experiences, and collaborating with the Management Committee. The manager will also oversee financial planning, handle budgets, and maintain compliance with regulations while fostering a positive and inclusive club atmosphere. Qualifications Strong Food & Beverage experience. Great if you have experience running restaurants. Experience in managing sports/members clubs or hospitality organisations, with a demonstrated ability to oversee daily operations, budgets, and staff management. Strong organisational, leadership, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to supervise teams effectively and build efficient processes. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing high‑quality member services and fostering a supportive community environment. Proven experience in event planning, and optimising facilities to maintain a high standard of quality and member satisfaction. Familiarity with tennis or other sports‑related environments is an advantage. Proficiency in software and tools for club operations or similar organisational settings is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, and a strong passion for creating an inspiring club culture.
