CareersElectrical Test & Inspection Technician Responsible for inspecting, testing and documentation of projects and existing electrical installations to the highest possible standards. Reporting to Director of Production Job Responsibilities Carry out quality inspection and electrical testing of control panels Ensure both quality and functionality are checked to the highest standards Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical technical drawings Ensure components are correct to the electrical design and function appropriately Be responsible for the calibration aspects of all in house test equipment Take responsibility for house-keeping within the service area Take responsibility for test rigs, technology and training equipment Quality check to ensure build and wiring standards meet and comply with the company and external requirements Check, pre power tests and functional testing of control panels including PLC I/O and VSDs Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner & in accordance with established processes, practices, procedures & quality standards Insulation and resistance testing of power distribution Diligently record test results and log failure accurately, identifying faults and correct as required Feedback concerns and failures to the relevant teams and were necessary to elevate to the Production and Service manager Liaise with other departments to ensure briefs and project timelines are met Prioritise workloads dependent on project and business needs Panel build and wiring activity when testing is not required Adhere to the Company’s Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental procedures and any other Company policies and procedures Champion Safety, Quality, Cost efficiencies and Delivery aspects within production Train others in line with your competency as required Visit external sites as and when required VSD bench repairs for AC and DC drives Any other duties deemed to be within your capabilities Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required Apprenticeship / Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics Previous experience in a similar role (minimum of 5 years panel wiring experience) Strong communication skills in all areas Capable of using initiative and paying close attention to detail Excellent organisational and time management skills, capable of prioritising Ability to work either individually or as part of a team Detailed knowledge of systems integration incorporating variable speed drives, robotics, PLCs and SCADA/HMI technologies Personal Qualities Being a great team player as well as the ability to work off own initiative Confident and pro‑active with an organised approach to work Situational adaptability Hands on attitude Enthusiastic and able to be relied upon Remuneration Package Life Insurance Employee assistance programme Programme of personal development & training #J-18808-Ljbffr
