# General Operative### Job Introduction**About the Role**Reporting into the Contracts Manager, the successful **General Operative**will be ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently; maintaining a high-quality service at all times in line with company standards, procedures and customer requirements.**What you'll be doing**In this role, you as the successful **General Operative** will be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive)* Managing machinery, vehicles and personnel; ensuring you are properly informed and equipped to carry out tasks* Complying with all safety requirements company standards and procedures for employees and sub-contractors* Carrying out site operations to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiency Understanding of how a contract performance can be influenced and delivery of a quality service.* Attending and contributing in discussions to ensure you are updated with key company information* Be prepared for changes and have a flexible approach**What we are looking for**We are looking for a **General Operative**who ideally has:* CSCS Qualification* MPQC Competency Card* Knowledge of planing machine capabilities and the ability to contribute to the operation.* Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures* Good communication skills.* Flexibility and willing to work as a teamYou’ll be joining a collaborative, innovative team.
