Job SummaryApplications are invited for a Locum Consultant appointment (7 PA's per week) to cover a maternity leave. The successful applicant would join a team of 10 consultants.Our department currently has internationally reputed services in axial spondyloarthritis and primary systemic vasculitis. The Trust operates job share and flexible working.All future senior medical and dental appointments will be expected to work in collaboration across the Group and, irrespective of initial job description and job plan, be willing to work on more than one hospital site, dependent on service needs.Main DutiesThis is a 7 PA post which includes 6 DCC and 1.0 SPA.Outpatient clinics - 3.5 clinics per week (typically 3 New and 9 follow-up).MDT - With radiology every week.Acute Rheumatology cover 1:5 for 8am to 6pm on weekdays and 8am-11am on weekends, during which the appointee will also be expected to vet out-patient referrals, address advice and guidance queries from GPs, cover the rheumatology day unit queries and support the on‑call rheumatology registrar.Attendance is expected at quarterly regional meetings of the East Anglia Rheumatology Society (EARS) and the Eastern Network for Rare Autoimmune Diseases (ENRAD).The appointment is to the Trust, not to specific hospitals.All consultants, including the appointee, will be expected to be involved in implementing the Trust's Clinical Governance programme.
