This key strategic role is responsible for driving product performance, planning, and execution across merchandise categories for an established ladies multi‑channel fashion retailer based in the West Midlands. Base pay range Competitive and negotiable based on experience. Responsibilities Prepare detailed analysis at department level for previous season performance, in line with buying timeline. Work with buyer to drive strategy for following season, preparing WSSI proposal with key building blocks. Highlight key sales trends to the buying team along with option plans to deliver a balanced, commercial range. Identify all repeat/core lines for stores & web, taking ownership of final buy quantities in line with company directives and ensuring programmes are booked together across all departments/brands to maximise margin. Sign off on all orders raised by buying to remain in line with departmental ASP/margin plans, escalating any concerns to Head of Merchandising. Collaborate with buying to establish pricing strategy for each department, ensuring alignment with company strategy and implementation across all channels and sub brands. Book new options in line with the buying timeline while monitoring option plans/OTB. Qualifications Strong analytical skills, ability to build reports, track performance, knowledge of forecast principles and implement demand planning practices. Proficiency in merchandising tools and software, including Excel and inventory management systems. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, able to collaborate effectively with other teams and external partners. Ability to work independently as well as within a fast‑paced team.
