Join a community committed to driving forward the future of energy.Job DescriptionThe Job MissionThis role supports our hazard verification activities across high-profile nuclear power plant projects.You’ll work on the assessment and protection of equipment from internal and external threats.You'll be part of a collaborative, technical team delivering critical safety analysis for your future team.Key responsibilities include:Apply hazard analysis methodologies for nuclear internal and external threatsDevelop simplified design hypotheses and hazard-based scenariosUse models to assess hazard phenomenology, e.g. flooding analysis toolsCreate Python scripts to automate and optimise data processingIdentify and analyse vulnerable equipment and threat mechanismsConduct functional hazard analyses focusing on redundancies/diversificationSupport system design with hazard protection requirements using bespoke toolsContribute to design change processes and hazard replication documentationQualificationsEssential Skills:Degree in Mechanical, Process, or Nuclear EngineeringKnowledge of hazard studies in highly regulated industriesFamiliarity with nuclear safety regulations and assessment principlesExperience with systems, layout engineering, or pipeworkAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesConscientious and team-oriented approach Desired Skills:Previous experience in hazard safety verificationCompetency in PDMS and Navisworks softwareKnowledge of EDF engineering tools and processesAwareness of flooding and seismic risk assessment toolsExperience contributing to design review committeesAdditional InformationWhy Apply?Join Assystem and become a key player in delivering critical nuclear projects that shape the future of energy.
