Overview Job Title: CNC Turner Location: Wallingford Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm Job Type: Permanent Salary: £45K yearly Role overview We are on the lookout for a CNC Machinist where you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating our machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role needs a strong understanding of machining techniques, 5 axis, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to delivering top-quality products. Responsibilities Deputise and support the CNC Production Technical Lead Safely and efficiently operate CNC machines to produce components as per engineering drawings Operate Doosan Vertical with Nikken 4th Axis mill with Fanuc control Operate Doosan Lynx 2100 LSYA lathe with Fanuc control Operate Tormach 770 Vertical Operate Tormach 15L Lathe Work with engineering on new designs and provide input for design for manufacture Be a primary resource for programming Schedule work and allocate resources Choose appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures for each job Provide inspection resource for first article and interim checks Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and report issues to maintenance Troubleshoot and resolve problems during machining Follow general organisational procedures, such as 5S Ensure all safety guidelines and protocols maintain a safe working environment Keep documentation of machine setup, tooling, and production data Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to achieve production goals and resolve technical issues Provide guidance to less experienced team members and educate when necessary Requirements Experience with CNC milling and turning and CNC programming Knowledge of G-code and CAM software (Fusion 360; prior experience not essential) Knowledge of Solidworks would be advantageous but not essential Experience with quality control Good problem-solving skills Good understanding of engineering drawings Strong communication and collaboration skills If you are interested please apply online by sending a copy of your CV to the provided URL.
