Commissioning Support Officer

Commissioning Support Officer – Children and All Age Disabilities Commissioning Service Warwickshire County Council – Two positions available. Contract Options: 2-year fixed term contract 6-month fixed term contract Key Requirements: Do you work in adult or children’s social care or health? Are you passionate about improving the lives of children in care and people with disabilities, autistic people, and people with mental health needs? Are you interested in working with people who draw on support to understand what is important to them and how we can improve our services? The service is responsible for a broad range of provision which includes: Homes for Children in Care, Fostering, Supported Living, Day Opportunities, Residential and Nursing Care, Respite Care and a range of Community based Support Services. The successful candidate will carry out a range of activities which is likely to include: Engaging with people who draw on support to gain their views about our current service offer and future service options. Responding to day-to-day queries from providers and operational staff regarding current provision. Carrying out research on local and national demand, provision and performance data. Supporting the development of service specifications and tender documents as part of the procurement of services. Working with frontline social care and health staff, our providers and partners to improve our service offer. This role is a fantastic opportunity to take a first step into commissioning, and you will be supported to develop knowledge and experience on the job.
