About the Role & Program This is an entry‑level, full‑time position that combines on‑the‑job training, mentorship, and formal instruction across various IT domains. You will rotate through different departments to gain comprehensive experience before specialising in a chosen track. Key Responsibilities (Training & Initial Support) Foundational Training: Actively participate in all formal training sessions covering core programming languages, operating systems, networking fundamentals, and cloud concepts. Support & Troubleshooting: Assist senior engineers and consultants with basic technical support, ticket resolution, and documentation, learning escalation procedures. Project Assistance: Contribute to development, testing, and deployment phases of ongoing projects under close supervision, focusing on quality assurance and documentation. Code Review & Development: Learn best practices in coding, participate in code reviews, and contribute to small, defined development tasks using languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript. Essential Qualifications, Technical & Legal Requirements Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Communication: Excellent written & verbal communication, problem‑solving skills, & strong work ethic. Networking Fundamentals: Strong, practical understanding of IP addressing schemes (IPv4/IPv6). Routing Protocols: Proven expertise in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting dynamic routing protocols, specifically OSPF and BGP. Switching Technologies: In‑depth knowledge of advanced switching concepts, including VLAN configuration, spanning‑tree protocols, and Layer 3 Switching (inter‑VLAN routing). Automation & Scripting: Ability to leverage network automation tools and proficiency in scripting languages like Python to manage, configure, and scale network infrastructure efficiently. Eligibility: Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
