Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Location: Shrewsbury, ShropshireReports To: Chairman of the Board of TrusteesHours: 7 hours per weekJob Purpose: The CEO will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight (through the coordinator) for Shrewsbury Street Pastors, ensuring the charity fulfills its mission to care for, listen to, and support the local community. The role involves overseeing the charity's activities, managing staff, and fostering relationships with civic partners, stakeholders and Ascension Trust to enhance the charity's impact and sustainability.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDevelop and implement the charity's strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Trustees.Ensure alignment with the charity's mission and values, maintaining a focus on community engagement and support.Operational ManagementOversee the day-to-day operations of the charity, ensuring effective delivery of services.Manage and support the Coordinator, Social Media Officer and Fundraising Officer, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.Fundraising and Financial OversightWork with the Treasurer and Fundraising Officer to develop and execute fundraising strategies, in collaboration with the Board of Trustees.Ensure financial sustainability through effective budgeting, monitoring, and reporting to the Board of Trustees.Stakeholder EngagementBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, churches, community groups, and donors.Represent the charity at events, meetings, and in the media to raise awareness and support.Governance and ComplianceEnsure the charity complies with all legal and regulatory requirements including ensuring Data Protection regulations are compliant and Health & Safety policies are understood and followed by all.Provide regular updates to the Board of Trustees, supporting them in their governance role.Person SpecificationA committed Christian with a heart for outreach and community care.Proven leadership experience, ideally within the charity or community sector.Strong strategic planning and operational management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Experience in fundraising and financial management.Knowledge of the local community and its needs.A background in faith-based or community outreach initiatives.Values and CommitmentThe CEO must embody the values of Shrewsbury Street Pastors, demonstrating compassion, integrity, and a commitment to serving the community.Job DetailsSeniority level: ExecutiveEmployment type: Part-timeJob function: Business Development and SalesIndustry: Non-profit Organizations #J-18808-Ljbffr
